How did that team manage to get so far?
1-0 down within a minute to one of the greatest teams to ever play the game.

Kaka had everyone on toast, running the midfield, it could have been any number if we're being honest. It was 3 at the break.

To be fair that should have been it, 3-0 against one of the greatest defences ever and 3 lads to pick us off on the break.

All the stories about what happened at half time, subs being made left ,right and centre, at one stage there was going to be 12 on the pitch. The fans sang, lifting the team.

We felt it was all over, but you just never know with the Reds!

Then followed the best 6 minutes football has ever seen, led by the skipper. Gerrard, Smicer, Alonso.

How the hell are we level? The rest of the game was a bit of a blur until Dudek pulled off the craziest double save the sport has ever seen. We knew it was ours then, penalties were a formality at that stage.

And when it was ours, it was ours to keep.
